 At 03:18 Hours the Verona Fire Department was alerted Mutual Aid to a working structure fire at 7075 County Highway 50 in the New London Fire District. The home was directly across from the New London Fire Station and was occupied by a New London Assistant Fire Chief. Units arrived to find a well involved structure and a defensive attack was mounted. Crews remained on scene until approximately 07:00 Hours until released by New London Command.
